Pedano, O’Shea, McGavic & Hogenmiller, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Alex Ledbetter to the firm as a law clerk. Alex was born in Champagne-Urbana, Illinois and was raised in St. Louis, Missouri where he attended DeSmet Jesuit high school. He graduated with his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in history with honors from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. His thesis concerned the evolution of the U.S. economy from pre-World War I through the post-World War II epoch.
Towards the end of his tenure at Lindenwood, Alex finished an internship at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, working with the Volunteer Lawyer’s Program assisting clients obtain pro bono attorneys for family law matters. Before going off to law school, Alex worked at the St. Charles County Public Defender’s Office helping attorneys in researching for cases, drafting motions, and second-chairing at trial.
Upon graduating from Lindenwood, Alex began his studies at Saint Louis University School of Law where he is a rising 2L pursuing his Juris Doctorate. While in law school, Alex spends his free time involved in student organizations including the American Constitution Society, Family Law Association, and the Sports and Entertainment Law Association.
Today, Alex lives in O’Fallon, Missouri with his fiancé and daughter. A passionate St. Louis sports enthusiast, he is an avid St. Louis Blues fan. Alex’s hobbies include skiing, ice hockey, and working on his Formula Drift Pro/Amateur racecar for competition.
